   Kajuru Castle: Your next destination spot

Kajuru castle is considered to be one of the most gorgeous and delightful destinations to visit in Nigeria. It is a tourist’s delight tucked away in the mountains of Kajuru built in early medieval style in the late 1970's. It has been Kaduna’s best kept secret for many years.
About 45 kilometers south-east of Kaduna, Kajuru is located on the Kachia road. Kachia is the local government area of Kajuru. Turning into the road at the right from the centre of the town and driving past the local government headquarters for about 6 kilometers to the left stands an awesome sight on a mountain ridge – a castle. Who could have imagined seeing such an extremely beautiful sight in Africa, in Nigeria and in Kaduna State?
Kaduna is the state capital of Kaduna State located in the North-western part of Nigeria. The city is about 2hours drive from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

You may have heard of Kajuru castle or probably not. It is absolutely a breath taking place to visit; and a spot you should add on your tourist list.
I have always been one that loves travelling; you can actually call me a travel freak . Well to be honest, I don’t think I would qualify in the ‘Travel Freaks’ category. However, when I do, it has to be really somewhere worth visiting.
With long prayers of ‘bae’ that would take me around the world or even a job that would require I just ‘kuku’ become a tourist; Kajuru has given me something to look forward to while I await my tourist honeymoon . But jokes aside, Kajuru castle is a luxury villa worth visiting.

If you love to discover new spots, have fun with friends, spend some time with the 'Bae', write documentaries or probably you just love to take pictures of wonderful spots; Kajuru is definitely a choice destination for you.

As a good tatafo, it’s also nice to let you know the Sehembz team even had a pre-Kajuru visit too. In my Nigerian English, “Well, so we will not end up going there and just be seeing an ancient castle or forest filled with lions and kangaroo; because that one go pain me o. Who Kangaroo don epp?”

The best part of the tour we are really looking forward to is the train ride from Abuja to Kaduna city. The Federal Government of Nigeria has refurbished the train services. You should be certain that you will enjoy the ride. For some of the tourists, it will be their first train ride. Well for yours truly, I have never been on a train as well.

It’s going to be ‘Fantabulous’ (if there’s any word like that ). The team has engaging activities planned out for tourists such as swimming, mountain hike, games and networking. It promises not to be a boring experience.

I recommend you come dressed in something easy; a pair of jeans and polo would be a sure bet. I would also recommend a camera to take beautiful pictures of the moments, swimsuit, bag pack to put in all your personal items and of course trainers for the hike.
